why is it that people find it so easy to believe in God and the bible(which is filled with some pretty far fetched stuff if you think about it ? but it is so hard for anyone to believe in ghosts ufos, or anything paranormal mystical or magical..or supernatural.. You say there is no such things as ghosts cuz no proof ,,, no fairys cuz no proof... no magic spells cuz youve seen no proof and you say no such thing as aliens cuz youve never spoke to one , no bigfoot cuzit sounds far fetched and youve never seen it .... but yet you( and when i say you i mean people) believe in the bible and god ,,, parting of the sea turn water into wine ,,,staff to a serpent ,,,flaming chariots and heaven....Why is this? and no comments on my typing either please ,,,this is not typing class ,,,If HE can believe in the almighty god or whatever religion or faith he has ,, why cant SHE believe in a ghost or alien,,,because she has no proof,,, WELL WHERE IS HIS PROOF?????????????????

I couldn't agree more with your question here. People refuse to believe there is life after death and the possibility that people could pass away and come back to this earth yet more than half the population believe "Jesus" did just this. Died and came back to this earth!!!
The christian religion has hypocracy written all over it.

Well perhaps it is a matter of consequences. To believe in fire and brimstone and flaming chariots is to say you believe in the miracles of god and the metaphorical symbols that the propets used to convey these miracles. I agree it sounds far fetched for the water to turn to blood and that heaven may be chiseld out of gold, but in the eyes of society there is no consquences to believe this. But yet when you talk about ghosts or ufos other life forms or people who have physchic abilities these things are reflected upon as negativity or satans way. I think it is very funnny and such a contradiction to that was meant to be a spiritual journey to god. In the bible it also says that jesus is the messenger of god. And what was that message as he healed people and talked with the angels and the ghosts as he himself became a ghost when he rose again. What was it jesus said
Ye people of so little faith you have the power to do the same and more. Why do people accept the paranormal activies used in the bible but not in the world they live in. Simple. It is the same reason of why Jesus was crucified. Because we cannot accept what cannot be explained. Religion is explained through fear and the guilt of not accepting. This represents a consequence. If you believe in something else such as your own powers or the metaphysical word that cannot be explained then the consquence is what you recieve when others ordain you as a freak or any other negative term they can attatch to something they cant explain not accept. Dont worry about it. I know it makes no sense, but let god sort it out. Dont even waste your precious engery asking the question. Know that you already know the answer just as god would want you to.

The bible is nothing but a metaphoric account for events that may or may not have taken place beginning 6000 years ago up to 2000 years ago. It's just a book written by man, on God. The events were not even recorded until some 350 years after the death of a man named Jesus. How accurate can it be? I don't think people really believe most of the bible. It's no different that believing in the supernatural. Anyway, if God is real then why so much sadness and war and hardship in this world?
I believe in the physical world therefore I do believe in aliens form other worlds. Even if we have or haven't been visited by them still doesn't mean that that don't exist. I believe there are many planets that support life. We just haven't proved it yet, that's all.

Not all Christian people (or whatever faith) don't believe in ghosts, ufo's, etc. The biggest difference in what you are asking is usually if a child's parents are religious they raise them to adopt the same faith - at least until they are 18 and out of the home. People are usually not "raised" to believe in the supernatural. Personally my dad is into all that stuff, well some of it anyway, and with my own life experiences I do believe that some spirits are earth bound and also that the universe is so vast that there could be life out there, although I have never seen it.

The bible believers believe in the Bible and the stories there in because they believe that it was written (or inspired -- God breathed) by God because the Bible tells 'em it was. Is that logic?
In other words, they read it in a book that say it was inspired by God and they buy into it without questioning. Why? Truth is: God doesn't mean that much to them so they might as well take someone elses word on it without any real experience (objective or subjective).

I don't believe in any of that c r a p for just the reason you give...there is no more proof of the bible then there is for faeries or UFOs and it is the same type of week-minded thinking that leads to belief in either

I think time is not a straight line event. Sometimes there on conditions (perhaps times of great stress) that create windows we can look through. That's why we see deaths over and over again- not that someone dies over and over. Expanding this further, perhaps UFO's are a window into the future?

ill tell you how i got my proof , i asked.
one day i was walking and i said JESUS if you are with me, let me know through these birds but don't let them touch me, because i am afraid of birds. there were quite a few birds on a bush eating i guess ,and flying from branch to branch and just as i passed them ,a small flock flew over my head and one pooped in my hair ,i was so over whelmed a chilled also came over me and i knew at that moment JESUS was with me.
