Your head is rational, and your heart is irrational.

If you figure out why you did something then it is your head telling you. If you cannot figure out why you did it then it comes from the heart.

The heart has feelings that are indescribable while the head deals with feelings that you can put into words.

this is a question that I have pondered as well. These are things that I came up with from my own life experience.

Sometimes you get caught up too much in an old proverb like this and you don't realize that it's just a figure of speech. I don't think this proverb literally means that you should listen to what your heart is saying because it doesn't have the ability to tell you anything. We just associate the heart as the decision-making-catalyst in terms of what really desire.

I'm basically saying this is simply a figure of speech, but there certainly is some truth to it because we must differentiate between what is meant for us - and what is not. I believe that you must follow your MIND in determining what you ultimately do with your life that makes you happy, and what has the greatest contribution to society. If you block out the possible things that could be pulling you in a direction you feel weary of, I think it gives you a better sense of where your life is going.

I have no doubt that a person like you can determine this because you have the instinct to ask a question like this one. I believe that if you follow what you know to be true about yourself, you will be fine.

Your heart moves you by impulse. Your head makes a decision.

the dif. is when u base ur decisions on ur emotions w/o thinking 1st(heart); when u use ur head, u think things through b-4 deciding whether or not to do something.

Your heart is your spirit or soul within you but your mind is the decision maker ...it is triggered by your emotions and feelings.....The true result can fe measured by the outcome....logically your mind is swayed by your heart....but the overall choice is from the head!!

IF YOU FEEL THE IMPULSE (HEART) TO DO SOMETHING, THINK ABOUT(HEAD) HOW THIS WILL HARM OR BENEFIT YOU.
