Minnie Riperton could, but she's dead... :(
She sang that "Lovin' You" song... I think that would be a great remake for Mariah to do.

Can Mariah Carey hit that note? I don't think so. It's called good engineering/producing.

i can. i practice and practice till i get better and just the other day i was singing along to mariah careys cd and i hit the note and held the note as long as she did

Desiree Coleman.... she had one song out late 80's early 90's she could hit the note that shattered glass, but like I said she wasn't popular. Matter of fact she married basketball player mark Jackson.

Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson... all 3 of them have great voices, and can sing as goos as Mariah can.
Even I can sing like her, coz I'm a soprano too.
