hi ritu, it would be an ideal trip, i do it every year , though the other way round - tirupati to bangalore. Would be doing it this year too, hitting bangalore on the 2nd of Nov after taking the blessings of Lord Balaji. The road is very nice, though hardly any place to eat, so take ur foodys along. The distance is about 250 kms. the traveling time is abt 5-6 hours. The car helps very much when u go up to tirumala, and also for the new temples and tourist spots. There is decent parking available in most of the hotel in tirupati. If u wanna know anything futher for ur trip to tirupati, do get back anytime.
Bon Voyage and happy darshan.

Bangalore to Tirupathi and back by car - it will be very convenient and the roads are very good. You have to go via Kolar-Chitoor to Tirupathy. The driver should be a perfect and experienced driver as from Thirumala to Tirupathy over 30 KM drive through Ghat Section with lot of hair pin bends. You will definitely get hotels/motels en route. If you want you can stay over night at Tirumala by booking a cottage. The total distance up and down is around 600 kms and if you go by car you can have darshan of some other temples also.
