The Writer's and Artist's Yearbook has lists of Agents and Publishers.

You really need to do your own research as only you know the genre of book you have written.

Sorry to not have the perfect answer,

As an experienced writer and published fantasy author, I suggest you find a good editor to clean up your manuscript and get it ready for submission to various agents. You'll have to research those, as there are no right answers when it comes to agents EXCEPT that you need one if you're a new author. Most major publishers these days won't even open unsolicited manuscripts unless you have previously published something OR you have an agent submitting for you. Publisher slush piles are in the thousands, so don't waste your time, postage or printing costs submitting direct.

Once you have a finished, polished manuscript and an agent to handle it, you should be able to find a publisher sooner or later. Agents know the game and they know what the publishing houses are looking for. Trying it on your own is a long, tedious and often disappointing road to oblivion.

That's my advice. Good luck with your book.

YOu have a hard job ahead of you keep at it and do not be discouraged. you need to buy a copy of the 'Writers Hand Book' edited by Barry Turner and published by MacMillan for all the publishers and agents contact details.

You also need a copy of 'From Pitch To Publication' by Carol Blake also published by MacMillan

You may find them in your Library

It would help to know the genre. Look in writer's market and find out which agents and editors represent your genre and submit to them. There are also a lot of smaller publishers to try.

do you have any published friends? they are always a good resource for who is good or bad. I have a friend who has been published 6 times and he knows whats what out there--
you can always go to your nearest college and ask someone in the English dept for suggestions too.

If you want to publish it yourself, try "Author House." If you want to use an agent, you can look up literary agents in your yellow pages or ask your attorney if they know anyone. I am trying Author House.
