WAY too much ****! I stopped carrying a purse for that reason (among others) for years. Then, a few months ago, I was at the grocery store with just my wallet and someone stole it out of my pocket. It had my grocery, and bill money in it. Now, I'm back to carrying a purse. Filled with ****! Didn't start filling it. It's a gradual thing, til you can't fit anything else in it.

Right now in my hand bag I have my purse, 1 lip gloss, 1 eye liner, a chocolate bar, 2 tampons, a mirror, several old bus tickets and recetes, a pen, a small note pad, some plasters, a hair brush, a wee bottle of anti frizz, my house keys, 1 condom, a lighter and my phone.

I have generally change my handbag once a day to go with various outfits and shoes and most things get transferred....
- Sunglasses
- Money/Cards
- Mascara
- Lip Gloss
- Painkillers
- Tissues
- Tampax
- Hair band
- Mints
- BlackBerry
That's about it.

-Make-up bag with all it's make-up and nail stuff
-whatever book i'm reading plus my reading glasses
-sunglasses
-my wallet with credit cards, driver's license, money, etc.
-about 10 lighters because I can never find one and buy another and lose it at the bottom of my purse and buy another and...
-cigarettes
-gum
-two sets of keys, personal and work
-check book with calculator
-asthma inhaler
-cell phone
-tons of snacks, usually one a half-eaten melted candy bar stuck to the bottom of my purse and there's melted chocolate all over everything
-Purell hand sanitizer, Benadryl cream cuz I live in Texas and I've always got bug bites
-Medication, lip balm, tampons, DayQuil in case I have a cold, hair clips, spare keys incase I lock my normal keys in my car, pens, some kleenex, empty plastic bag for some reason (?)...

wallet, keys, gum, makeup, listerine strips, cell phone, address book. Though my friend's grandmother always told her to carry a hammer in her purse. I guess you never can be too careful!
