Couldn't agree more, the current state of movie-making is disgusting. The solution is to be more discriminating about what you watch. My own code is that I don't go to movies that have:
- anything 'undead'
- car chases
- constant weapons fire
- people who can defy gravity
- cartoon characters
- an excess of foul language
- snakes and insects
- a lot of blood
which doesn't leave much, does it? I don't go to many movies, nor watch many on the TV.

Yet you watch them, as do others. Movies were never meant to be intellectual exercises. Those that are have a very limited audience. Movies are made for money making purposes, if you wish to change it, pick up a camera, stay away from "mind numbing movies" or read to a group of kids.

Because mindless drivel makes MILLIONS fot the movie studios. You kinda have to look around for the good stuff. I highly recommend "Little Miss Sunshine."

Sometimes it's kind of fun to turn off your brain and forget your troubles and unwind. A good, stupid movie will help you do that.
