Nixon lost to JFK in 1960 before beating Hubert Humphrey in 1968.

While Ronald Reagan ran for the Republican nomination in 1976 he didn't run in the general election (Gerald Ford lost to Jimmy Carter). The number of people who ran for the nomination, were unsuccessful and then won the general election in later years would be VERY long. It would also include G.H.W. Bush and LBJ just to name 2.

YOU are failing at life. Even tho you might get a pass on your homework. You are one LAZY jerk. If you can go online and ask this question here, you could have found the answer in a general search. Your teacher, by asking this question, would want you to find out other things IN THE PROCESS OF LOOKING FOR THE ANSWER. Instead you choose to cheat yourself out of an education. If you continue to cop out like this, you will end up like our President Bush--stupid and uninteresting. Now, if your daddy is not rich, that makes for a really miserable life. Even if your daddy is rich, like the President's daddy, you should still prefer to become a whole and complete person with an education, rather than an idiot with a degree.
