I can't remember the name of the song, since I was not a huge fan of his-nor of country music for that matter-but, there are some songs I like from Johnny Cash.
But, this was before his wife June died. They were both in the video together. It was a Nine Inch Nails song, originally, and he sanged it in the video. It was very poignant considering that was the last time BOTH of them were going to be alive. June died before he did.
Sorry I can't remember the name, but, that happens to be my favorite Johnny Cash song.

The whole Folsum Prison Blues album and also the Walk the Line album. My favorite Cash song is "The wreck of the old 97" because it happened in my hometown. Every time I pass the historical marker, I hear that song in my head.

Mine is Ring Of Fire. It'll probably always be my favorite because it's the first song I ever heard by him. I can even still remember where I was & what I was doing. I was very young & my father owned a radio station & he ran it from the basement of our house.
Anyway, I toddled on downstairs and climbed into his lap as the tune started on the old turn-table (yes, it was an album, I think a 78 even) & that song started to play. I was entranced & sat still for the whole thing, which for a wee bairn is saying something as we all know.
In my mind's eye, I can still see it spinning & I can almost see the album cover.....almost.

I loved the movie too!! Funny thing is I like how Pheonix sings his songs better than him! I bought Johnny Cash's greatest hits, and I listen to the "Walk the Line" soundtrack way more!!

I love so much of his stuff, but I've heard his older stuff so much, sometimes I just don't want to hear it again. Then I turn to his newer stuff. The American series of albums is AWESOME. He does covers of Nine Inch Nails, The Beatles, Soundgarden, The Eagles, and more...
In "A Boy Named Sue" he did not kill his father at the end of the song.

It's a song he recorded back in 1959 called "I Still Miss Someone". It's just a beautiful song.
