I want to try to plan a romantic getaway in New England for me & my BF. I have this picture of a snowy cabin on the lake, with a fireplace, and not too many people around. And we can go snowmobiling if we'd like. Does this place exist, and if so, where ??

Thank you to the person who warned me about the Black Bear Inn. That is truly disgusting if the other responder knew that had happened and yet still suggested it.

Stowe is a huge tourist destination, so I'm not sure you'd have a lot of quiet time if you went out to eat.

In regards to the 2nd answer about Maine. I just read in todays news that there was just a big weekend murder there at that bed and breakfast. A man killed the owner and her daughter and two other people. Do some reasearch and you will see. I would stay clear of that area. I was just in Mystic CT last week and absolutely loved that. Take a look at that area. Good Luck!
