I don't know. If there is a God (and I'm not sure about that one) you have to pressume he's the same God who lets murderers live to 90 when he lets babies die at 6 months. Think of it this way, the question's too big for us to answer. You just have to pressume that God has some great plan and we should leave it up to him. I don't think he would want us to sit debating what might be and what should be but just get on with our lives doing the best we can and to the best of our ability like Mr Irwin did.

Why do you think he has 'saved' Bin Laden? Believe me, when his turn comes he's gonna face the worst punishment of all. From a human point of view, of course it often seems unfair that so called 'good' people die before so called 'wicked' people, but one's lifespan on earth currently will eventually seem microscopic compared to eternal life. Sometimes it can be a 'test' of our belief in God - do we only want to support/believe etc in him when good things happen, and disown him when bad things happen, even though he is not the cause of the bad things. Also, like another poster said, Steve was in a very precarious job so and faced death/potential death many times during his life. Not sure if Bin Laden dives; but ,maybe so far Bin Laden has simply been much more 'canny' - that's if he is still alive, which no one can be certain about at the moment. Ultimately, I am sure he will 'get his'. How we live our lives now will determine what sort of eternal future we can expect, and rather than worry too much about what other people do, it's important for all of us to do our best to live the best kind of life we can now, unselfish, charitable, neighbourly etc etc, whilst we still have breath to do so. Even for those who do not believe in God, a more fulfilling life can be had when not looking out for purely self-interests.

If God exists at all which I doubt he did not get rid of Steve Irwin nor did he save Bin Laden. Why do all the Ned Flanders clones make such unfounded assumptions?

I don't believe God had anything to do with either the death of Steve or whatever happened to Bin Laden.

Everyone likes Steve, including God. I think God took Steve to have him around in Heaven, to make him laugh and entertain and for good company. Who wants Bin Laden around-- the guy is boring?!? It's like my brother said-- if God ever takes me it'll be because he wants me to make fudge for the angels in Heaven!

Because bin Laden stays as far from danger as he can possibly get. Steve deliberately put himself in harms way. "God" had nothing to do with it. Its the breaks. Get over it.

God?? Get a grip. IT/HE/SHE doesn't exist.
Irwin was inclined to antagonise dangerous , deadly and agressive animals and unluckily paid the consequences. Bin Laden gets everyone else to do his antagonising. How he must chuckle at fools like Bush, Blair et al.

Free will. Steve Irwin chose to dive in dangerous places...he wasn't punished. And bin Laden? I don't know that he is still alive...and if he is, you think it's a good life?
