I was working when over the radio the man had said a plane just struck the tower in New York. I had a thought for a minute that it sounded like a terrorist attack to me cause how many planes have we had run into a high rise building? I don't recall any. when the second plane hit, I was sure it was terrorism for sure. My heart went out to all the people trapped in the building, the planes, and the families that were left behind.

came back from drinking (its was at night, malaysian time). tipsy and tried to hide it from my parents. my dad called me to the tv room and i asked what movie were they watching. seriouly i thought it was a movie coz the clip looked like the scenes from one of the REM videos. anyways, i was supposed to go to the states that december for the spring semester and it had to be delayed because of the paranoia (understandable) of the americans at that time (today also). now, im in new york and i always thought about that night when my father pointed out that america was got attacked. i feel sorry for the victims and the NY government servant that tried to help those people. today in the newspaper, it had estimated that 70% (this is a large sum) of the departmental workers that was helping out, had got some kind of illness from the toxic rubble. anyways, that is the cost of being a super (duper) power, not being fair to conflicted countries and supported wars around the world. i am not pointing fingers or blaming anybody but i am just simply reasoning of what had happened. everything happened for a reason. how ironic.

It was my son's 20th birthday when I called him I was crying so hard. He wanted to know why I was crying and I told him what was on the news. I don't think I left the TV the rest of the day.
