Because he knows how good he is and he's not afraid to think he's better than anyone else. Now to say that he's still the best WR in the league? Hell no...Marvin Harrison, Torry Hold, Chad Johnson, Steve Smith, Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Bolding...any of those guys outrank him or at least make them worth having over T.O....some of these "newer" guys are even worth having before him...like Donte Stallworth, he'll make one hell of an Eagle, Terry Glenn over in Dallas is just fine as a #1 guy, they didn't even NEED T.O. to make the playoffs.

Anyway, as long as Steve Smith doesn't turn into an *** like that from his "triple crown" last season, he'll remain loved by all Panther fans...GO PANTHERS!!

Your question is one that deserves hours of conversation, and it should not be focused on football, but on society.

I'm 27 years old, so I'm kind of close in age to T.O. My generation is one that believes it is entitled to things. We think that certain things, like paychecks and jobs, are rights, not privileges. In the minds of many of my peers, showing up to the job is enough to warrant a paycheck. Actually performing our task is something that we deserve "extra credit" for.

Take that mentality and couple it with the fact that T.O. knows he is probably the most talented player at his position, and you get a selfish, "me-first" person.

My boyfriend explains it as T.O didn't have anything growing up, so now that T.O. has everything, he doesn't know how to act like a decent human being.

Not to sound racist (but many of you will take this comment that way anyways) but part of it does have to do with his race.

T.O. was raised in a culture fueled by hip-hop and the notion that "the man is out to get you." When a black athlete such as T.O. reaches a certain level it's inevidable that some of them (T.O. - Chad Johnson - Keyshawn...etc.) lash out against the mainstream.

T.O. is dramatic and will do anything for attention - positive or negative.

I would have loved to see Owens go against some of the dbs in the 70s era. They would have knocked his block off
