Ask him to go to the gym with you... Or, if you live together, cook healthy meals for him. If not, try going out to dinner to places that have healthier meal selections.
If this doesn't work, try talking to him. Ask him if he feels good about himself. Try to figure out when he eats the most (like if its when he's watching TV or when he's stressed out... etc). Get him to go do a fun activity with you, like mini golf or taking a bike ride. Something that is a little physical activity *AHEM* may go a long way in getting him in shape.
If he doesn't change, accept him for who he is. He will realize one day that being overweight is not healthy and he needs to change his lifestyle.
Beauty is whats on the inside anyway, right?

Tell him that you've been thinking a lot about the two of you staying healthy and that you were wondering if he might perhaps join a fitness club with you? Or you could ask him to set aside some time to run or walk with you maybe 3 times a week to start? Let him know that you want him around for a long time and you want the both of you to be healthy. If you can get him to join you in some kind of fitness regime then I'm sure the dieting aspects would follow. Hope this helps.

Yeah what you can do is go on walks with him and join a gym with him and do exercises with him...Let him know that you are concerned about his lifestyle and make some changes that will be better for the future. You should observed him for a couple of days to help him make smarter choices about his activities and eating habits.
You have to say/do it indirectly so it wont hurt his feelings...

Don't tell him he grosses you out that would hurt anyone's feelings. I would let him know that you are concerned about his health and that BOTH of you should try to be healthier. Approaching it that way will take the hurt away from him and make it a team effort. It might even help to bring you closer together. Try to find something that both of you like to do together like walking or playing sports.

He know he is overweight. Tell him that you are concerned for his health and the long life together you see in the future. Help him with his eating by getting healthier foods and cook them healthy. It is difficult to say but it needs to be said. He will thank you later. It has to be a change in life that he is willing to go with. Good Luck.

If the excess weight is a tremendous amount and could potentially harm his health, he deserves to hear it from you. Try suggesting joint exercise programs, go for a walk together, and make healthy eating a habit. It's easier to go through weight loss with someone encouraging you.

Don't tell him to lose weight as thought you're doing it just because he's fat and you don't like fat people. Tell him that you love him, and that being too much overweight can affect your health. Look up all the things that being overweight can do and tell him that you love him, and you want him to be around forever.. and not die too soon..
Tell him that you're worried for his health.. and then HELP him make a diet plan.

Interest him into taking long walks with you or play basketball, anything to get him started on losing weight.
