I think you can consider seeing, learning and relaxing as attractions. I travel to discover something that is ouside my normal realm. Tourism brings in extra income, whether it be to a distant land or a different area. Extra people coming in and spending adds wealth to the region.

Tourism contributes to countries richness by adding extra money to the economy! Tourists coming for different countries bring their money to spend to the country they are visiting; they spend this money on hotels, attractions, restaurants...
For example: if u only have 2 relatives , you will only get 2 gifts on your birthday , if u have plenty of them , more gifts for u , more fun for u!
Countries become richer!
Attractions can be: historical monuments, beautiful nature, religious monuments, shows, sports attraction....
