In the most basic sense, a troop is equivalent to a company.

Under ideal terms, a company is composed of four platoons. Each platoon is composed of four squads. Each squad is composed of seven troopers. In addition, each platoon has a platoon sergeant and platoon leader. Every company has a Company Sergeant (First Sergeant), the Company Commander and the Company Executive Officer.
