Yes it is. You can both slow time down (ever wait for christmas???) and pass through time to get somewheres faster. The only problem is you will eventually have to pay that time back in some fashion.

Not in pure physical terms (in the actual passage of time from second to second) but even Steven Hawking has recognised that there is a psychological arrow of time as well. If you're doing more work or activities in an hour than you did in the previous two, or breathing twice as hard from exercise, or are otherwise busy, it's quite obvious that your experience of time will be different than if you are just sat in a chair gazing at the wall.

Yes - I've been in conversations with people that have, though years of mastery, managed to summon immense amounts of Chi Energy to actually slow down time itself...

This is evidenced by the fact that even though I am praying to every God known to mankind (and a couple I made up) to have the conversation end abruptly, 5 minutes with these people seems to last literally hours....

Hi Paul B, Do you mean, slow down time relative to the body ageing process? then yes I do believe it is but not in any other time related situation.
A very good question, sadly not to slow down time enough to answer as fully as I would like to.
Don't slow down the good thoughts though Paul

some of these answers are really stupid. the universe's time? time is a man made concept. don't run your life according to times for one day, and there, you have achieved mentally slowing down time

Subjectively, yes. Your awareness can slow the passage of time for yourself, but of course not for the rest of the universe.

I don't think you can but maybe you can alter your own perception of the passage of time by doing things more quickly or more slowly. If you have too much to do, naturally you would feel that time passes too quickly. If you have too little to do, you would feel as if time has stopped. You can change the speed of time but surely you can learn to adjust yourself.

Yes, in perception.

Just sit in a doctor's waiting room, or listen to some one, a real dullard, prattle on for ages.
