I have an Owl one. Does that tell you anything?
It is misleading, however. Why would you want to mislead people?

Yep If you already have an avatar click Preferences Its in the top right corner.
Change My Avatar's Gender
Click the button below to switch your Yahoo! Avatar's gender. You will lose most customizations.

Yes you can, you just gotta select "female" instead of "male" at the Avatar site, that simple. It's all about fun, isn't it.. try whatever makes you smile and have a good time ;-)

Careful using a girl avatar- it's got side-effects. I heard that all of your manly parts will shrivel up and fall off within a week :)

Sure, why not? I've had male avatars before and I'm not a guy. I've also had black and asian avatars, but I'm neither. I change my avatar to suit my mood. I don't care if it's close to the real me. It doesn't need to be.

Sure, but use a girl type name as your profile name too so people don't get too confused...
It's easier to understand other people if you spend a little time in their shoes.....
But watch out for those high heels.... LOL
