Malcolm X's story is a great example of transformation. In his youth he was intemperate, advocating violence and open defiance to get heard. As he matured he realized it would be more effective in the long run to advocate peaceful protests.
It is assumed he was killed for going against the Nation of Islam. They saw his departure as betrayal. The gunman escaped and was chased by a lone police officer into the subway. The police officer was shot point blank in the face and the bullet was not able to be removed. He insisted he was shot by another Police Officer who was waiting in the shadows. The gunman got away and an arrest was never made.

The name is spelled MALCOM X... it isnt a 3 part name...
A week later on February 21 in Manhattan's Audubon Ballroom, Malcolm had just begun delivering a speech when a disturbance broke out in the crowd of 400. A man yelled, "Get your hand outta my pocket! Don't be messin' with my pockets!" As Malcolm's bodyguards rushed forward to attend to the disturbance and Malcolm appealed for peace, a man rushed forward and shot Malcolm in the chest with a sawn-off shotgun. Two other men quickly charged towards the stage and fired handguns at Malcolm, who was shot 16 times. Angry onlookers in the crowd caught and beat the assassins as they attempted to flee the ballroom. The 39-year-old Malcolm was pronounced dead on arrival at New York's Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. He was killed by the shotgun blasts, the other bullets having been directed into his legs.

Did you know that Malcom X killed Clyde X
Don't dismiss it check it out. At the time the police did not care because it was just another dead black man. But the St Louis Post Dispatch did an extensive investigation.

I know this will come as a shock to some but as a Republican I love Malcolm X. Malcolm X was a conservative if I ever saw one. He spoke of responsibility and given the time when he was coming up his attitudes towards whites are understandable. Malcolm was one of the few men capable of eliciting real change. Now we are stuck with Jesse and Al. I love you brother Malcolm!

Malcom X was a failure in everything he did in life. He was a drug pusher, an armed robber, a two time convicted felon. Served many years in prison and tried to rally blacks against whites. He was a racist and a coward and got what he deserved. muslim terrorists killed him because they felt he was moving in on there territory and wanted him out of the way. Another black on black killing. Things haven't changed since 1965. What's your point?
