I have to write a fictional article about a young teenage girl and I need some help from you young ladies out there.
If you were hoping to buy a present for your Mum, and she was really into collecting something, what would that something be?
You have only so much pocket money, and the present has to be something crafted, not clothes, not tech.
Please expalin why!
Thanks!

I'd have her a candle made in the shape of a bird, because she loves birds and candles.

I asked my teenage grandaughter and she said she would buy a pretty fan for her mother which was hand made in China and so cost practicaly nothing. She said her mother is so feminine and likes to wear a kimona for a dressing gown and she does collect things but not fans. She thought this gift might start her on a new collection. I thought her answer was very sensible...she is only 14

That depends on if you want it to be a funny article or something more serious. My mum collects anything with a duck on it. So I used to embroider her oven gloves, pillowcases or whatever as long as it had one of those stupid ducks. My dad on the other hand collects anything having to do with tractors. He has too many things with a John Deere logo on them to count and it's embarrassing in our house!!!
