Depends what your after.
Shopping-: queen street mall or paddy's market if its still going.
Sightseeing-: The wool shed or one of the many museums.
Further afield-: Bribie Island, the etamoga pub, glasshouse mountains, all pretty close.

Visit Lone Pine Koala reserve - they're really cute.
Move on to Surfer's Paradise/Gold Coast.
Brisbane didn't grab me. They do have a bridge like the Howrah Bridge in Calcutta, but without all the pedestrians and motorised rickshaws.

visit the Koala sanctuary & cuddle real koalas, spend time at the sunshine coast, or gold coast
