Batman.
He was one of the few superheros that did not actually have any superpowers, yet he was still able to save many people. I mean if you actually had superpowers you really have only the choices of either become a superhero or villain or go into hiding and have serious issues. Batman actually made the conscious decision to put his own life at risk to protect others. He also had one of the coolest costumes and gadgets.

Although I have many favorite superheroes in my life, I would have to say that my favorite superhero is SPIDER-MAN because he is such a warm, loving, caring, sweet, sexy, intelligent, and unique superhero that I, as well as the rest of the world, can relate to.

Green Lantern(Hal Jordan) without a doubt. His power ring can materialize anything he can dream up. The power of the mind and imagination is limitless. He is also the most powerfull of any hero even Superman because he is not limited to the power of a Yellow Sun.

It would probably be Batman.
Why? Because he is human with no powers at all and he can take down all mighty powerful supervillians who are way stronger then him and all he does is outsmarts him. If he wanted to, he could probably take Superman down. That and the gadgets make him cool.
Plus this is the first comic that I ever got into was a Batman series.

I gotta go with Green Lantern as well, his power is unlimited (will power) yet limited (has to recharge the ring). He always has to think his way out of situations because he's dealing with cosmic threats on a very large scale. If he blows up the gigantic asteroid about to hit the planet, he's got to deal with the fallout from its pieces, so maybe that's not a good idea-and so on... Plus it's cool having to stop intergalactic criminals across an entire sector of space, instead of just one planet :)

superman. Because he's human emotionally. Man of steel is not man of no emotions. I like the words Brandon Routh said in the movie when he took to the sky with Lois Lane. Asking her what she hears from up there, her reply is "Nothing"
Yet Superman said "I hear everything. You wrote in the papers that the world doesn't need a superman but everyday I hear people crying out for a saviour......"
Then superman brought Lois back.
To me, Superman loves Lois but he made the painful decision to save the world and hence sacrifice his dream. There are many supermans and superwomen in this world. (Think of parents) They go through a lot, give up even more to bring up their children....they are superheroes, ain't it? :)

Spider-Man.
Easy pick I know. Big reason was it was the first comic I bought as a kid (IAmazing Spider-Man #232 Aug 1982). Got me hooked on Marvel. I could have just as easily picked up a Super-Man and gotten hooked on DC. I like Spider-Man because he always did the right thing. He is a classic hero built on the tragedy that follows him in his life. He has a great sense of humor. He has weaknesses, he isn't all powerful like Superman.
