i will never forget the image of steve irwin talking to the camera while sharks were in a feeding frenzy all around him while he stood in the water...the guy was a crazy kook but he was fascinating, funny and very entertaining...i kind of felt one day his luck would run out the way he took risks dealing with wildlife but i would never have guessed it would take a stingray to be the culprit....my condolences to his friends and family....he was one of a kind and his legacy will continue as his shows run on animal planet

Germaine Greer isn't worth mentioning, although since her statement she has become public enemy number one. How dare she put down Steve especially after his death, his poor family should seek legal action against the worthless trash talk she has come out with for her own publicity. I saw someone mentioned she wrote a book on the female species, I think it's fair to say as a female I don't claim such a heartless, unfeeling, insensitive, disprespectful piece of crap in my phylum, due to the fact that she is the total opposite of what emotion represents. I kept this clean in case children might happen to read it.

Germaine Greer was leading the "feminist" fight during the sixties. She wrote a book about how women should be leaders in the world (it had a really poncy title like The Female Species). Anyway, she totally shafted her own credibility by appearing on Big Bro in the UK last year. Her opinions shouldnt be counted as anything other than attempt to draw hysteria. RIP Stevey.

She's a coward who decided to confront Steve Irwin after he died. Put simply, she's a moron.

Am ashamed to say she is Australian living in London. She is just attention seeking, sad what some people will stoop to.
Her comments were cruel, unfounded and have outraged us all at this sad time.
She will never be welcome here again.

I don't know who she is, but she's a bitter old hag if she said that. He was commited to his family and to animal conservation.
