You're asking two different questions here. It matters that genders are different because as a race, we've evolved to allow two general seperate roles in society, male and female, in aspects other than biological.

But if you're talking about gay rights, then you're right. In our advanced society, where gender lines have for all intents and purposes been erased, nothing is holding back gay marriage except traditionalist religions that can't accept others as they are.

it really doesnt matter....love was created to spread happiness among humankind....but humans took it the wrong way and use love as an excuse to fight....but as long as a couple of people (doesnt matter the gender or genders) love each other and are happy together....we should be considering how many couples get divorced every year....

The most scientific answer would be, it matters to the survival of the human race. Not a judgment, just an observation; woman plus woman does not equal baby.

Males and females function differently. Thats why it matters. You shouldn't force people to act alike. Males should act as they naturally feel and females should do the same. And at the end of the day males and females will act differently.

i assume that by gender you mean male and female. If the genders were the same then we'd all be male, or all be female. I'm really not "getting" your question.

Because to be a mother is different than to be a father. Have you ever delivered a baby?
