Yes, it is compatible. 10.3 and 10.4 (which you have) are very similar, the AT&T people just didn't update their site to reflect the new version. If there are any problems when setting it up for the first time, call AT&T and they will walk you through setting it up. Make sure they know you are on a Mac, some modems require that AT&T set them up remotely (through the internet) because the Mac can't set them up. (Comcast, for instance, has a modem like this.)

Don't have Mac OS X 10.4.7, but I believe AT&T Yahoo DSL should work with your computer. I did not install any software from AT&T to get my computer on DSL. Instead, I talk to the DSL modem directly using 192.168.0.1 as my url in Internet Explorer, which should be browser of choice. When you go through the login process and questionaire, you should be able to get on.

Or, if this does not work, use a PC to go through the process, and get DSL modem going. Hook the modem with IP router, and plug your Mac into the router. Internet will work just the same.

Good luck

There are numerous variations of Mac OSX obtainable for notebook. As mentioned in the previous, they are all rather unlawful. it fairly is possible to do, however the biggest situation is video card drivers. Mac dosen't rather make drivers for domicile windows video enjoying cards, and your video card producer dosen't fairly need to spend time coming up a driving force for a equipment that there product won't artwork in. in short, the working structures run with diverse hardware, hence making it confusing....yet possible.

it is compatible. you can be connected manually if the disc fails. Depending on your modem brand, you'll have a GUI (ex, 192.168.0.1) to configure the modem with your username and password.
