I don't understand why a guy in a happy relationship can still be hooked on this type of entertainment. Is this considered normal, or could it be considered a form of unfaithfullness?

Dirty movies could be what this person like to indulge in with their spare time. Dirty movies and dirty woman can go hand in hand if the opportunity present itself.

Now, I am not saying it can lead to unfaithfulness because only the guy knows how far and how much of this he needs in his life.

You can do every sexual trick but pull a rabbit out of a hat to please your mate and they can still like dirty movies because enough for you might not be enough for them.

Some are happy with having their mate to star in their own show because they want their mate to copy what turns them on in the dirty movies.

Now watching a dirty movie here and there is one thing but being obsessed is another.

Depending which one the guy is, I would look long and hard at the future of my relationship.

If it is something that is bothering you, I suggest you communicate and let your partner know don't hide what you feel because the problem won't go away.

If you're okay with it then it's not unfaithfulness at all. I know that in my relationship..my husband likes to be satisfied from time to time sexually... that's just the way men are. I also know that with 2 kids under 4, and being a stay at home mom that I'm not always right up on the sex scene.. so he watches porn.. does his thing, and we don't have a fight about how we never have sex because I'm too tired.

It's a compromise. He wants sex, I want sleep.. so as a compromise.. he gets porn and I get sleep.

I hate porn. I think that it just makes men yearn for other sexual partners and encourages cheating.

However, from an unbiased point of view, I would say that it is alright to watch it occasionally. Men are very visual creatures. But, if becomes a regular thing, then I suggest getting him some help or else getting out of the relationship. Why let him hurt you like that? If he can't respect your wishes, then respect yourself and leave.

Porn has become more accepted BECAUSE it is more accepted. If women divorced men who continued to look at other women - eventually they would understand and stop. I believe that mental unfaithfulness is psychologically more damaging then physical unfaithfulness. The reason is that fantasies are "perfect" therefore they breed dissatisfaction with the partner. If you don't believe me check out some of the psychological literature and research. Thus my husband knew from day one that if he "looked" I was out of here, I can easily find someone else. And no, not all men look.

I don't know why "some men" are obsessed with pornography. It's a vice! that can corrupt a marriage. Many men have problems with impotency. Therefore, they just become voyeurs satisfied with masturbation. All through the privacy of their homes. Ask yourself, is he really happy, does he use me after he views a film. Life is full of unfaithfulness, it comes in many forms.

If by dirty movies you mean porn.........then that's just considered Healthy. Now taking an obsession TOO far is one thing. But to some it's considered a hobby. What ever isn't fulfilled in the bedroom can be somewhat exhibited through porn.........and to a small degree can make him feel like some of his fantasies are coming true. (Imagination)

I have no idea why. Maybe they feel that because they can not give women the kind of satisfaction that the women appear to have in the movies, if they watch it they will learn from osmosis or something. I find it to be disrespectful myself but there are many women that find nothing wrong with it or at least put up that front.

Men are highly visual, The brain is the largest and most important sex organ. this is not cheating but strengthening the visual component, If you keep him from the porn long enough the confidence may subside. NEVER accuse him even in kidding of cheating, if you are suspected of cheating you might as well do it.

Maybe the dude is addicted to sex? I know that porn gets old after a while (like 5 minutes). Is it being unfaithful? No. Better to have him watch it under your domain than to have him go somewhere and watch or even perform in it somewhere else. Women are big into porn, but they will never watch it alone if they are into it.

I think it's the whole fantasy thing. I don't think that it is a form of unfaithfulness. Many girls will watch an adult movie with their guy, it gets them in the mood.
