Dude, there is nothing wrong with two people from different backgrounds, skin color, culture, etc... wanting to be together. I am mixed (Swiss and Filipino), and I married a Korean. In our eyes, there is nothing wrong. Other people, for some reason that I will never understand, take a lot of offense to a mixed marriage...even though it is not affecting any part of their life AT ALL!! The most concern to think about is the kid. I hadn't had a problem, but as we all know children can be cruel and a mixed kid can be kept out of place and the butt of jokes. Personally, mixed kids are better looking than pure-breds. Gives them a unique and striking look. C'mon everyone, this is what 'Gobalization' is all about! Let's Mix it up throughout these generations, so eventually we will all become the same color and we won't have to deal with racists anymore.

I think that it is a beautiful thing when you can combine the beauty of two different cultures and make it work together. Different taste in food, different family dynamics, different history of heritage. When two people can take all those things and enjoy the differences between them and find the common ground than that is harmony. I myself am a white woman married to a white man but have dated and loved other people from other Ethnic groups. As far as the children being screwed up and not knowing who they are or being picked on in school...I just don't think that this is the case any more. I feel that some of the most amazing people both in beauty and mind are a mix of cultures.

Unfortunately because this is a cruel world where racism still exists and people tend to attack what they do not understand I think that interracial dating/marriage is a bad idea unless you are willing to take on the criticisms and judgement that comes along with it. Those with power, money, and influence in this world will generally accept whites, blacks, hispanics, and then asians. Even in spite of arabs being the latest target of racisim, they will be accepted in most social and economic decision making circumstances more readily than a black-white interracial marriage.

The hipocritical part of it is that people think that mixed race children are SO beautiful in spite of how unaccepting they are of interracial couples.

Narrow minded people will always exists, there is no right or wrong in this it's just people who make it what it is, i believe anybody can do whatever they want just as long as it does not involve killings or those type of things, I'm Hispanic and i really know what is like to live under the eye of ignorance but, I'm smart enough to accept the things i cannot change i do not let anybody dictate my life or the way they think my life should be

Ethnic back ground, skin color, religious beliefs, and even gender should not matter if two people are in love or are attracted to one another. We're all bi-peds and have the right to love whomever we choose and should be able to do so without close-minded, uneducated, bigoted, hate mongers having a fit about it. A relationship between two people is between them and has nothing to do with anyone else. If family members, friends, or society can't deal with it...tough shite! Their opinions don't matter as they are not involved in the relationship.

My opinion is love knows no color...if you truly love someone, their race should not be an issue. I don't want someone else telling me what's ok and what's wrong for me to consider appropriate, so I don't feel it's my place to judge when someone else finds a person of a different culture attractive. I happen to find men of all colors attractive...just depends on the person....and I'm a Southern gal~

We are in a world which is a global village in 21st century. People are very busy and they have no time for you whether intercaste interracial or both catholic. Check on fundementals. Education, culture, upbringing and financial stability and if you feel it is ok and you are able to log on to each other emotionally and intellectually go ahead.

It's ok to the couples dating. It's the racist relatives who are screwed up in the mind.

Another 2 million years of evolution and perhaps, humanity will finally accept the notion that all humans are created, more or less equally.

I, myself, have no problem with it....love has no color...you can't change what your heart feels. I've never understood peoples opposition to it either....a person is a person. You can be a jerk or worthless or rich or fantastic or whatever if you're black, white, asian, latin, indian or any race.
