I say it's not wrong, but when you go into a relationship you need to keep a good line of communication between you and the person because you are gonna be hit with some strong stuff from some ignorant people. I know first hand. Some people say keep the bloodlines clean. Puhlease!!! If an Irish person married a Scottish person has the blood been tainted? Nope! Culture is culture. People is people. All that closed up stuff don't work. In fact, one study of that "blue blood" stuff showed that certain diseases began to plague the family. It got stronger with each new generation! Bring in the fresh blood and just keep it real, I say.

It's okay. Race has nothing to do with the failure or success of a marriage. A marriage is betwen two people, if those people love each other and mature enough to work to resolve their differences then I think they should be allowed to marry. Any blanket opposition must be based on racism and stereotypes. It depends on the two people whether they're a match, whatever color. Unfortunately sometimes the families in interracial marriages work against the married couple to undermine the marriage. You can also expect to encounter a fair share of idiots as you go about your lives. These societal factors can make an interracial marriage more difficult and stressful to maintain but that's no reason not to do it! Love is rare and should not be denied.

I don't see why it should matter in the least...silly really to even think there could possibly be a reason for it to matter....I think those that could possibly still have a problem with that in this day and age (and as we know..they are out there alive and well..lol) it just goes back to old ridiculous & small minded prejudices handed down from generation to generation. Like a bad virus. I DO however think with each generation it is getting to be less and less of an issue. Another 25-50 years - nobody will care.

You need to qualify this by country/culture. In India there is a caste system which is so entrenched that a 'lower-caste" person can be killed for even speaking to a "higher-caste" person of the opposite sex.

In the USA, there are subcultures which frown on interracial realtionships.

In my opinion, it's all about chemistry and compatibility between the two individuals.

I see no problems with it, since we are all of one race-the human race. I think back in history, it was looked down upon because the families wanted to keep land or fortunes within families or tribes and not have alliances with other peoples to share. But this is the 21st century and all people should be considered equal even though the reality is they are not.

I did it. I'd do it again. It doesn't bother me if others do it.

What I will probably never do is date someone from a different culture or upbringing. I don't judge those who do, but it's probably not for me.

Friends are one thing, but I want a husband or boyfriend I can really connect to and relate to. And that may be difficult if you're raised in completely different types of households.

It's exotic at first but that goes away after a couple months. At that point you really don't see race or color anymore.

I believe questioning whether it's right or wrong is ridiculous. Of course it's fine. It's your choice. Nobody has the right to tell you who not to date (assuming they're of age).

I don't have a problem with it, but some people of virtually all races do.

I think the issue is that people want to be able to look at their grandchildren and see a part of themselves there. For people who have a strong racial identity, to see that diluted in their descendants is probably distressing.

If you fall in love , nothing and no one should care . However, it would be wise not to seek it out only because the races belong together and function better that way. Of course this is not politically correct to say, but it is true.

I think it is a good thing. Since interracial marriages are on the rise, hopefully it will help eliminate some of the racist stigma surrounding it.
