I do not know what I want for my birthday....My boyfriend keeps asking me, but all I can come up with is a haircut. he already gave me a necklace last year and a ring for christmas...I hate bracelets and watches.
WHAT ELSO COULD I ASK FOR? I told him I just wanted to spend time with him and he said "You need a gift, what do you want or need?"

Spending time with him is good enough, but if he want's to give you a present anyway then I wouldn't be the one to stop him. Go ahead and let him be the man that he is, just know that gifts and luxury isn't the key to happiness and "real love". You've said the right thing and I know he's loving that right now. How about a jewelry box to keep the necklace and ring in he bought you already?? Or get a picture done together....new shoes?? Hope you have a great day no matter what!

How about a journal to write your thoughts down, your plans, goals, use it as a diary. I had a regular journal I began writing in when I was dating my husband. Some days I just wrote the date and what we did that night. (I was 16) Now 20 years later, I pick it up and remember the things we did like it was yesterday.

if you want to spend time with him and he thinks you need a personal gift have him take you to some high to do restaurant at like 250.00 a head he will forget the gift pretty quickly.

Tell him to surprise you.
If that won't work, think about your hobbies. Gifts don't always have to be jewelry. He could give you something for your vehicle, or DVD's or an iPod.
Just think.
