This guy engaged in irresponsible, reckless behavior that left his children fatherless, and his wife a widow. His greed for money and fame were his downfall, not the sting ray.

He was on a re-run of theLarry King show. He transparently lied to cover up how he endangered his baby by teasing the crocodile. He didn't seem very intelligent, either. He looked more like a "showboat" than an environmentalist. So I turned it off after 15 minutes.

I agree with the teasing the crocodile with his child thing but come on have a heart he man's dead. He tried to show the world about animals and he died doing what he loved. Yeah he could have been a little more careful and not risked his or his families lives but that just what he does.

Because he was a man who cared about the education of people, animals, and adventure. Because his life was based on doing those three things is the reason he is always on television. It's his fault the only way he could do all those things in different places around the world and create a good living for his wife and kids was by having a job that pays him well.

I would say most of the other celebs are more greedy than him. He turned his property into something he loved doing. He was passionate about his work. Aren't you passionate about something. He was doing all this before cameras and $$$ came into the picture. Is the discovery channel a bad thing? People learn things from him. At least he wasn't having his wife dress like a skank while she was on the tv with him. every celeb that dies get airplay. So are soldiers reckless. They have a higher chance of dying than he did???

In my opinion he wasn't in it for the money he was getting the message out to the world about conservation which was his job! So what he got rich and famous for it, if we didn't watch he wouldn't have made so much money. His family is as passionate about his work as he was, did you know that he was filming a segment for his daughter's TV show? Anyway thanks for your opinion although I don't feel everyone will agree w/you that it was all about the money!!!!

because he was good for the animals and planet as a whole. It wasn't greed for money either. All the money he got he used to purchase land for animals so people could not not harm them. why don't you read the facts before you go stating a stupid opinion.
