The impeachment process is as follows:

The House holds an investigation and calls a committee. Based on the evidence, the House decides whether there are ground for impeachment. If so, it votes for each article of the impeachment, which requires a simple majority of those present to pass.

Any article that is passed then goes to the Senate, which requires a 2/3's majority to convict.
