Were you to read an easy to read, short paper "The Problem and Repair of Relativity" at http://360.yahoo.com/noddarc you will understand the basis of relativity concepts. I would post it here, but it is rather too long for that.

Einstein already did. He called it general relativity. It's complicated. Get a textbook.
