I lost a high heeled shoe at a wedding one time. It was so embarrassing. I had taken them off under the table, and I guess it got shuffled around somewhere. Never did find it, and we couldn't exactally leave because it was my brother in laws wedding, and my husband was the best man. To top it off, there was a request for the family to dance. I will never live that one down.

I lost a boot. My mother told me not to climb the snowbank out back of the house, but I did anyway. It had just been put there, we had a bad storm, and it had not settled yet , I sunk and my boot stayed at the bottom. Mom had to pull me out using a broom handle. I never did get the boot back til the following spring. It has been over 30 years, and it still gets the occasional discussion.

All the time, and from different people. Like if an ignorant metal fan sees that I have pop punk on my mp3 they say I have crappy tastes in music and I'm a poser who shouldn't be wearing a metal band shirt, but if somebody who doesn't like metal looks at my mp3 and sees that I have a lot of metal bands, they say that I have crap taste in music and that what I listen to is just noise. I was at school and we were goofing off and I had sandals on and the guys were joking around throwing it back and forth and it went on top of a building so I just left it there and walked around barefoot for the rest of the day....

My mom says that when I was little, I took my shoes off every where. And would always loose the left one. And no, we would never find them. :)
