American baseballs homerun king is Hammerin' Henry (Hank) Aaron.
The Japanese baseball Homerun king is Sadaharu Oh (the spelling might be wrong).
Aaron will probably be passed by Barry Bonds next year - love him or hate him.

Hank Aaron tops the list with 755 home runs! Babe Ruth was the homerun leader 12 times in his career which is still the best. It should also be noted that great ***** League player Josh Gibson hit an enormous amount of homers and should definetly be acknowledged!

koalafamily beat me to it. It's Sadaharo Oh (sp?). Hank Aaron finished his career with 755 homeruns for the U.S. record. Bonds recently hit homerun 729, and Ruth finished with 714 homers. Aaron, Bonds, and Ruth are the only Major League baseball players with more than 700 homeruns. And, even if Bonds passes Aaron, he'll only have the MLB record for a relatively short time as Alex Rodriguez will pass him before he's done playing.
