I didn't miss any pills this month. I have skipped my period before while on the pill but never 2 months in a row, like I am now. I took a test & it was negative but it was also 6 months expired. Can pregnancy tests go bad after the expiration date??

You can get pregnant while on the pill. I know many people who have. Even when used 100% right, the pill is only 99% effective, and someone has to be that 1 person in 100 that it doesn't work for.

The test was expired. Go buy a new one and use your first mornings urine, so that it will have the highest concentration of the HCG hormone it in, which is what makes the test read positive.

Yes, you can get pregnant while on the pill, I was taking the mini pill while I was breast-feeding my son and I got pregnant post-part-um 3 months. As for the pregnancy test you need to go buy one that's not expired, theirs an expiration date on It for a reason. Good Luck and I wish you the best.

Yes you can, I've never heard of it happening without missing a pill but it has happened to me. As far as the pregnancy test goes I would just go to the doctor, I had a test tell me I was pregnant when I really wasn't and in the past month I've taken 5 of them and they all said no.......I'm 6 weeks right now!!!

The detecting chemicals in the test might have weakened.

And YES, you CAN get pregnant on the pill.
The efficacy of the pill is about 99.2% (in a clinical - perfect - setting). This means that in one year, if 1000 women take the pill EXACTLY as they're supposed to (exactly the same time of day, don't miss, etc), 8 women will become pregnant.

Its just a fact of life - NO METHOD OF BIRTH CONTROL IS 100% EFFECTIVE!

I was on the pill and got pregnant two times!!! When talking to the doctor about this, they believe that the longer you are on the same one the lower its effectiveness. Then again some of us are just very fertile. And yes pregency tests do go bad, go get a new one! Good Luck hon.

yes you can get pregnant on the pill. I DID!!!! and if there is an expiration date on something, then that probably means it expires on that day which would probably mean it isn't any good... but then again thats just a thought.

I was taking Trivora and got pregnant. I miscarried. I talked to the doctor about switching my pill because I got pregnant on it. He said it was a fluke thing and to stay on the same pill. Guess what.. Not a fluke... I am now 12 wks pregnant with my 2nd Pill pregnancy.

I was on the pill and I got pregnant. I am now almost 5 months along with our 2nd child. Nothing is 100% unless you do not have sex.

Very possible. The pill is not a fail-safe. Neither is a condom.
Only abstinence is 100%

Get a real test, if you are pregnant being on medication of any kind is not safe for the baby.
