aww that was so sweet, i'd say that would be enough for me, but if you want to treat her/spoil her get the shoes to go with it, or pop a little money in it so she can pick her own gift. has she a fave perfume? outfit she has been looking at lately?
your very sweet getting her a designer handbag, hubby just gets me flowers and money in a card...no thought goes into it.

She's a lucky girl. But if I know anything about women and what they want, she'll feel most spoiled if she could go out for a dinner date somewhere smart where she can get dressed up like a princess and have you wantingly staring at her all night long. Who knows, you might even get a present on her birthday! But seriously, dinner and a stroll, romance, maybe flowers, a special little note on the mirror, under the pillow, a little chocolate surprise in the fridge with a note attached. It's more about the effort and thought that goes into it and not so much about the actual cost of the gift. Good luck
