When will minimum wage go up?

When will minimum wage go up? What is minimum wage, it used to be 5.15, but I thought it was 5.50 now. Also what can you do if a business is not paying you minimum wage, can you turn them in?

Where would you go to turn them in and would it be annonomous?

Yes you can turn them in to Department of Labor and Welfare. I think it is still $5.15 or $5.25 an hour. By sometime next year the rumor is that minimum wage will be $7.00 an hour. The only job that does not require mininum wage is waitressing and that has a mininum wage all on its own, because you receive tips.

Yes u can report them to eeoc, unless u r in the hospitality industry AKA work as waiter/waitress then they pay lower then the minimum wage as tips compensate for the rest of the pay.

While the federal gov't sets a minimum, states also set laws for their own minimum (as long as it's more than federal). Check with your state.

Federal is still 5.15.

It is supposed to go up every October under current legislation. And remember anyone who is thinking of voting conservative that the conservatives opposed the introduction of a minimum wage in UK.

Hell yes, you can turn them in if they pay you less than minimum wage. The exception is if it is a job that has tips in it, like waitressing.
