Can Pregnant Women Eat Sausage

well..here's the thing. and i love sausage so this one really pissed me off. packaged meat has nitrates in it. sausages, lunchmeat, deli meat, hot dogs and such forth. Nitrates raise blood pressure. Pregnant women by nature have higher blood pressure than norm. Consuming too many nitrates, can cause a stroke. There are some sausages out there that do not have nitrates, you just have to look for them. if you can find those.....eat away!!

Why wouldn't you be able to? As long as you cook it thoroughly, and your doctor doesn't have you on a restricted diet, I don't see why you can't eat whatever you want!
