The responceses used Windows based programs. The sense of my question was to get the BIOS to recognize and boot an ISO file before loading windows or other OS. In essence what hooks does the BIOS need to run and load the ISO file.

Thanks

You can not get BIOS to recognize an ISO file. The ISO is all the files on a CD all squeezed together into one gigantic file to make them small enough for downloading, etc. You HAVE to get to a working computer with a CD burner and CD burning software and have the burning software open the ISO file, turn the one gigantic file back into all the little files, and then burn those files to a CD. You will be able to put the resulting CD into your drive and BIOS will be able to see and boot off the CD. BIOS can NOT boot off an ISO file.
