I have been working at a company for over a year now, and there is this collegue who seems to have a problem. Her/Him do not bother communicating, and find time to post comments about me on forums. They delete and change things on my computer, dont inform me of when anyone has phoned, spread comments about me, and generally just be a *****. I have however, reacted to this behaviour asked her what is the problem, talked to the management, and have gone on her computer as she does on mine. I realise i should not have done this but i got angry and did something stupid. What do you think i should do?

The management said its not her fault she has little or no communication skills, i should try and talk to this person. Why should i bother when all she does is ignore me? I am not reacting or lowering myself to her level. I now log the things, she has said about me. I went on the forums to back up my evidence of psychological bullying, and also cyber bulling. The criteria in which you have to be treated, totally fits the way i have been treated. I am also leaving because its too small a company and there is no job prospects what so ever.

Well the first 2 things you did were the right things to do and in that order. Talk to her & then Management. But what did she say? What did management say? Did they say they'd talk to her? If it continues go to management again and tell them "Look this is the second time I've had to come to you about her. Nothing has changed she's still doing these things and I would like to discuss w/ you how can we resolve this problem, what suggestions do you have? What is the course of action you or I can take to resolve this because she is interfering w/ my work performance by changing things on my computer and making a poor working environment for everyone by saying bad things about me." Thats what I would do.

First of all, stop stooping to her level. Be the bigger person. Next, if you can prove that this person messed with your computer, then show management and they should do something about that kind of sabatoge. If they don't, consider if this job is really worth it if you don't have their support. Last, stay off of forums if they concern you. What you don't know, won't hurt you. And last, last......if this person is going around saying bad things about you, the recipients of this information will eventually be wise to this person's tricks. These people are always caught in the end. Just continue to be a good person, socialize with people at work as though nothing is happening and this biotch will pay in the end. Living well is the best revenge.

Keep a detailed log of her activities. Note dates, time of day, and exact actions, and exactly what was said. You should then request that the information go into your, and her, personell files. She will probably have to approve and initial the information before it can be placed in her file, but at least she will know you don't intend to stand still for her actions. Stay in contact with Management with all of your notes. She is trying to discourage you and force you to leave. She must think she can do your job, too. Good luck, I can imagine how disparaging the situation must be.

It depends on the HR departmnet you work for. I happen to work for a company that goes after anyone if there is a complaint made about them. But if you have already made complints to management, I would push them further. Tell them that you continue to have problems with her, and definitely say that the problems are affecting your job. Sooner or later, someone will listen, or else they will fear being sued. But you have got to keep your nose clean, no more messing with her computer.

Well when management isn't doing anything then it is time to go above there heads. First, you may want to type up a formal complaint for your management and a copy for yourself so that they can't say they weren't aware of the problem.

Look for another job, if management has done nothing with that person I wouldn't want to work for a company like that.

Sensitive issue, they might not like you or might have some other issue with you. What did she say when u talked to her >? what did the management have to say ? u need to create ally's and come up with a game plan either to balance out the issue and restore peace or total elimination!

If you have a human resources dept, go to them with documented instances of the behaviors and witnesses to the events.
