my three friends and I (great grammer here) have a constant arguement about which band is the best. what do you think?

It is hard to name just ONE all time best band. For instance....
Iron Butterfly's Inagoddadivida- best all time drum solo (and longest) all though John Bonham from Zepplin is considered to be the best drummer. Although I personally think the drummer from Def Leppard is right up there. (any person who can play the drums with one arm the way he does deserves to share the best drummer spot.)
Led Zepplin's Stairway to Heaven - best all time guitar solo
You've got the Beatles who started everything to begin with. (and helped start the whole psychadelic thing)
Pink Floyd- Comfortably numb.
The Rolling Stones (Although I think they need to retire now)
The Grateful Dead
The Doors ( Jim Morrison was a hottie!!)
Black Sabboth credited for starting the whole heavy metal revolution
Queen
Nirvana started grunge rock
Fleetwood Mac
The Ramones
Blondie
The Bee Gees- we cannot leave disco out of this.. Not to mention they have written so many hit songs for other artists
Talking Heads
There are so many more "best bands"... But they are all the best in their own rights.

I assume you mean rock bands. My person favorite is Chicago but most people will say the Beatles or the Rolling Stones.
