Define your terms. That ought to keep you busy about 10 years.
Everyone has good and bad happen to them. There is no hiding. Neither prayer nor anything else can save you from "sh*& happens." It is what you do about it, that makes YOU who you are.
You are going to cause a fair amount of "sh*&" too. It is part of our human condition. Everyone screws up every day. Big or small, noticeable or not. Anyone who say otherwise, is a liar or a fraud.
When you live compassionately, "honest" with what you think is the best thing to do, you are STILL going to mess up, bad things will still happen, and you are still going to die-eventually.
Gangsters and nuns alike die "before their time."
You may only get one shot at this thing, so live your life, enjoy your senses, own your mistakes, and fulfill your promise.
It probably will take you a lifetime to do that. Anytime left over can be used to knit.
To try to escape your life by lying, or cheating, bs, or scheming to blame someone else, might just work for a while--but whose life are you living?
Be your authentic self, be true to your own "voice," and you will at least leave a legacy that was YOU, not an elaborate hoax that looked like you, but was actually someone else.
Good luck.

For sure an honest life because there are too many possibilities for regret when you get older. To be honest is truly one of the ultimate virtues that we can carry with us as humans. I believe dishonesty is one of the main contributing factors to the deterioration of our society.

Some people have control of their dishonest ways but there are also people who have severe cases of pathological lying - and there are also sociopaths who don't even understand the difference between right and wrong.

Honest life is much better. You have what you work for. Dishonest people take from others.

I don't think any normal person finds satisfaction in dishonesty
An honest life is better in every respect. An honest person might have to suffer physically but his soul remains contented whereas a dishonest person always lives in anxiety which is not better then hell.

i think it depends on your environment, opportunities in life and the people that surround you. A typical example are the Romans. Many thought they lived a good and virtuous life, yet they practiced gluttony, debauchery slept with slaves etc and that was accepted as the normal thing.

Personally I would never steal from another person, but yet i would go out of my way to avoid paying taxes. So what is right. That I think is the value of having a belief system such as Christianity as it provides a measure on how to live your life.

Before anyone could possibly answer your question, you first have to define what you mean by honesty, dishonesty, good, and bad.

Otherwise, all you'll get are answers based on other people's concept of these things, not yours.

Study ethical philosophy, refine your definitions of your personal ethics, and rephrase the question in those terms.

UPDATE: see what I mean? You've already got one religious person defining honesty and dishonesty in terms of what "God" will and will not punish. That doesn't tell you what they are, and may not necessarily tell you what would happen in a way that's consistent with your own belief system. Also, it doesn't tell you what would happen while you're still living.

If you live an honest life, you maintain your dignity and self-respect. I'm sure you've heard the old adage, "Oh, what a wicked web we weave, when first we practice to deceive." Another adage that fits is, "To thine own self be true." In the end, dishonesty can only bring BAD.

Honest. Dishonesty will come around and bite you in the end, whether it is from anxiety from being found out, or stress from keeping up the dishonesty. Being honest means you never have to remember what you said to whom.

i don't understand what a Christian cellular team is. it fairly is effective to to appreciate which you're in stable corporation. Paul, the apostle who gave us many of the recent testomony books, mentioned "the stable i could do, i don't; the evil i does not do, I do". Why do you think of Jesus went to the flow? To pay for all our sins. we are fleshly creatures and our flesh and desires get the terrific individuals...frequently. you could pray and ask Jesus to set your toes on a righteous direction, and you will help your person walk with the help of going to church, examining the bible, not observing or examining issues that are unGodly, being around Godly human beings, all that. yet do not anticipate that, as long as you proceed to exist this earth, you will end sinning. it would desire to not ensue. call out to Jesus to furnish you potential and remember that God loves you. And please, do not use your failings to tutor far off from Jesus. it is exactly what devil could prefer to be certain you do.
