yes, I remember them.
there was an amusement park I frequented as a kid, and we would crawl under the stahl instead of paying the dime, also. I think now how gross that was.

Yes, I remember pay toilets and I remember holding the door open for the next person so they wouldn't have to pay. I considered it my good deed for the day. I also remember crawling under the door to avoid paying the nickel or dime. Can you imagine someone charging people money to do what comes naturally? What nerve!! Next thing you know someone will have the gumption to sell water in bottles.

I remember pay toilets. What a drag not to be able to use the restroom without money. I either held it until I got home or I crawled over or under the door, wherever the largest gap was.

They still exist. They just cost more. When we visited Ensanad, Mexico, the toilet was free, but you had to pay for toilet paper.

haha, i went out of town a few months ago and it was a pay toilet, it was a small town, just passing through, i guess that's how they pay for things there...

I remember those now that you mentioned it. WTF was up with them anyway? Was it the theory that if you had to pay for it you would be more likely to take care of it? I think if that was the case, it backfired.
