It's just individual variation - just like hair color, weight & height, etc. People aren't all alike and that is only one of the many ways they can differ.

People aren't really double-jointed- it's just a name. Some people simply have longer tendons and ligaments making their joints more flexible. Both my knees bend 5 degrees the wrong way andy my fingers can took my forearms bending backwards. Alas, though, it isn't all aprty tricks. I'm only 25 and have terrible osteoarthritis.

Don't know, but I'm double jointed in my fingers, elbows and knees, looks really freaky. Great party trick.

Its a type of mutation they are born with.I use mutation in its technical term.
