I remember hearing about a book based on a family that up and move to Corfu to start a new life. Can anyone remember or advise me on the name of this book?

'My Family and Other Animals' by Gerald Durrell was about their life in Corfu from 1935–39. The BBC even made a series based on it, back in the late 80s. I suspect that's not the one you're looking for, though...?

Think it might be The Island by Victoria Hislop, perhaps not but its worth a shot!!
