other stores a size 3 or 5
and other stores even a size 7?

I think it depends on the location of the manufacturing company. Sizes differ from country to country.

Stores carry different name brands manufactured from all over the world. Like China, Malaysia, USA and etc.

Stores use different sizes to attract customers. For example, I know a store that caters to larger women. A pair of pants in there that is really a size 10 will say size 8. Why? This makes the customer FEEL better, they will shop there again because they like the way they feel when they get in a smaller size, even though they may not have lost any weight. Also, clothes are cut differently depending on where they are made.

Clothing companies cut their clothes differently! I'm just like you...sometimes I can fit smaller sizes, and sometimes I have to get larger than normal! Also, your body changes during that time of the month because of hormones and water-retention, so that may also have something to do with it! I also read somewhere that some clothing companies are thinking about labeling their clothes as smaller than they actually are to make the customer feel better about their size! What a concept!

Each manufacturer is a little different in the way the size clothing. As a general rule, I find the better the clothing, the truer to size it is. Cheap clothes usually run small to me.

That completely depends on the designer and how the garment is cut. Some designers are generous in cut therefore generous in fit. Some are narrow/slim fit and usually indicate this on the manufacturer's tag.

thats because different stores have differnet sizing. they're sizes vary from store to store because they all have different manufators and they may make they're sizes larger or smaller. its not just you it's everyone! its really a process of trial and error.

It's called "vanity sizing". If you ask salespeople at the stores in question, they will admit to it.
