Actually, there is more than one type of male breed that assist the female in keeping the eggs warm. But, I will take in to consideration your elephant question and we will move to the African breed known as the Ostrich. Wait, I must edit this, because if memory serves me correctly, the female Ostrich doesn't rest after she lays the eggs, she leaves. That's right, packs her bags and abandons ship, while the male actually raises them. I could be wrong on the 2nd 1/2.
