'Is it safe to ride a double-decker bus, if there's no driver at the top?', I wondered when I was young. Is my logic a little too idiomatic? Is it better to be out of one head, or two, so I can have the last laugh at you, dear doctor?'

What song does this refer to?

Who wrote it? Album title also, please.

PS: The above is NOT a string of lyrics.

It's too close to call between River and CT at the moment. But CT's avatar is more colourful. I'll get back to you...

I just got a long-distance call from Andrew Ridgeley...he claims to have written 85% of 'Court And Spark' in his youth...I'll check up on this...

Twisted: Joni Mitchell: Court And Spark (featuring, unless I remember incorrectly, Cheech and Chong on background vocals...)... yo, I'm on fire today.....

While not wishing to enter into a debate, and accepting entirely that your decision is final (and that I haven't been *rsed to get an avator) I would humbly and respectfully point out that my answer is perhaps just a little bit....well... righter (as in 'at all, and not wrong') than Mr Tropicana's.... it's your call, though... obviously....

No idea at all. but to comment on the words, based on some of the drivers driving double decker buses under low bridges i would hazard a guess at no it is not safe if the driver were not at the top.

It could have been written by Andrew Ridgly and George Michael. The name of the song eludes me though
