Tomorrow will be sung this graet patriotic song hopefully by all.Now the sikhs have objected to it.However is it really the litmus test for patriotism ?Some people are palying the hidden agenda and innocent public has fallen pray to it.This agenda is to mix up nationalism with hindu symbols with malafied intention to alienate muslims from the mainstream.Shekar on Janmat t.v.channel asked one muslim whether his religion is greater than the country.He answered affirmatively.The audience laughed at him.Now practically in every national project opening ceremoney Hindu rituals are performed first.[i.e religion comes first before nation] Every govt function starts with Saraswati/ Ganesh vandana[i.e religion comes first before the country]Now even 15th of Aug or 26th of Jan is celebrated aftr performing Hindu rituals.[nation comes aftrwards]See tdays papers and you'll come to know that even Tchers day is mixed up with Hindu dieties.Why the Muslims are required not to follow their religion ?

India is a great nation with people all faiths.Our strength is our pluralism.Nepal and Pak are good examples of pure Hindu or pure Muslim nations which have become a pure mess.This is the reason why everybody likes India including Pakistanis. At the same time we must learn to respect sentiments and national identities.We can avoid those lines which refer to motherland as God and does not appear in the first 2 stanzas. Muslims who migrate and take citizenship of Canada,US,UK etc do not hesitate singing their national anthem and praise the motherland.In fact they have to take oath of their loyalty to the Queen.That time they do not say that their loyalty&praise will be only to Allah.Muslims have to be sensible and learn to respect their motherland.Vande Mataram.

Which patriotism you are talking about? who is patriotic here? this is all political gimmics and all politicians and the public too know about it. Slogan raising does not register anybodys patriotism. The politicians who go abroad and invest money there and make homes there and need foreign tours to study Indian problems Are they patriotic? the public who do not hesitate to loot public property, and destroy National property, Are they patriotic? Every one has to, first of all understand what is PATRIOTISM and then talk about it. And if YOU REMEMBER HISTORY THE NATION WAS DIVIDED ON THE RELIGIOUS GROUND AND THEN THIS WAS CALLED HINDUSTAN, IT IS TEH FOOLISHNESS OF THE THEN POLITICIANS WHO SUCCUMBED TO THE VOTE BANK AND TO MAKE THEIR POWER THRONE A FAMILY PROPERTY , STARTED PLEASING ONLY A CERTAIN COMMUNITY AS THIS COMMUNITY RELIGIOUSLY UNITED WHERE AS SO CALLED MAJORITY PEOPLE BELONGING TO A PARTICULAR COMMUNITY ARE NOT AT ALL UNITED WITH SO MANY RELIGIOUS HEADS TRYING TO BECOME LEADERS. iF THAT WAS NOT THE CASE WHY A COMMON LAW IS NOT PRACTICED. THE CONSTITUTION HAS ALWAYS BIASED AGAINST HINDU RELIGION MAKING USE OF DIS-UNITY IN THE RELIGION, INFACT THE POLITICAL LEADERS IRRESPECTIVE OF THEIR ALLEGIANCE HAVE PLAYED IN BREAKING THE SOCIETY FOR HARBOURING THEIR OWN SELFISH INTERESTS.I WHY THIS COUNTRY SHOULD BUDGE TO A CERTAIN SECTION OF THE SOCIETY AND LOOSE IT OWN CULTURAL HERITAGE AND RELIGIOUS SELF RESPECT?

Errr.....anyone remember any Indian classmate who refused to sing Vande Matram B'coz he was born a Muslim?
It is only those self assumed religious clerics who pass stupid Fatwas(& damn those Fatwas lack the commenest common sense!!) who refuse to sing Vande Matram.
The Society needs to learn from World History that as long as religion survives, priests & clerics will too & they have always tried to take advantage of the common man and his religious beliefs for power,luxury& riches in every Civilisation.It is long time that we throw away these reminders of the Dark Ages.

The controversy is meaningless.The freedom struggle did not use religion for liberating the people from the British.But after,freedom,Muslims wanted a separate State for them,obviously to practise religion with freedom.Religion preaches all are one before God.If in India you can not recite vande mataram in schools,do you think ,you have to get permission from pakistan to recite here?Placating and dividing people again in the name of secularism is worse than the divide and rule of British.Let us not loose what is due to us.

Its unfortunate that this happens all the times...But, again - we should recognise this and hope dont fall prey to such things...
Each of us, are free to practice our own beliefs...But, surely its high time that all of us put Our Nation Ahead of Religion...
