I am 20 weeks pregnant, and I only feel the small movements that can be described as flutters, and very light taps. I am just curious when things get stronger and when other people will be able to feel the movement. I guess I am just nervous because I have been feeling the same things for about a month now, and I just figured it would get more dominant by now. Any suggestions or encouragement?

The little butterfly movements that you are feeling right now are probably all that you will feel for at least two more months. Don't get discouraged, especially (since I'm guessing) this is your first baby. The very first baby that I had I didn't really feel him move at all until about 6 months or so, but the heartbeat and baby was checked every month and he was just fine. Movements usually get stronger as the baby develops more, around the sixth and seventh month your little one should be more active, but might not be kicking you all the time...every baby is different, some move all the time while they are in there and since it is so comfy and warm a lot of them sleep a lot as well. The best advice I can give you is as long as you're having your prenatal checkups and the doctor says everything is okay, the it is! :) Give it a few months and maybe also invest in one of those things that lets you listen to your baby..I can't remember what they are called..but at least that way when you felt down you could listen and know that your little one is just fine. :)

The first time my husband could actually feel a kick was at about 25 weeks, but it took a few more weeks before he could feel them on a regular basis.

Enjoy it, trust me, in a few months you'll be woken up at night with a foot in your rib that's trying to kick your heart out of your chest!

They get quite strong.
